Working Principle

The module emits infrared rays continuously through its diode. When the reflected infrared intensity is sufficient, the phototransistor is activated, producing a high output signal. Without sufficient reflection, the output remains low. The analog output (AO) represents the voltage difference, while the digital output (DO) provides a binary signal for easy interfacing.
